Forces Toward the Development of Regional Cultures


The force fragmenting a national culture:
-United States in an integrated global economy.
- Have Integration and equal rights
- Immigration has  the heterogeneity of the U.S.

The New Regions
- Garreau (1981) described that what he called the “nine nations” of North America, some are: Atlanta (Georgia), Charlotte (South Caroline), Miami (Florida), Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco’s, Seattle (Washington)


From The intercultural Perspektif
•Every cultures deals with these universal problems in a unique way.
•The problems that all cutltures face are man-nature orientation, activity orientatios, temporal orientation, human natural orientations, and relational.
•By using the 5 value, it is possible to describe the cultural patterns of a  country
•People in U.S do not agree about whether human are naturaly good, bad, or mizture of both.
